Winning businesses can win one of four - $25,000 grants.

Everyone who provides a nomination gets a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card.

How To Write A Compelling Nomination

To help you with the nomination, we’ve compiled a guide that includes the required business information, the questions in the form for easy reference, and some prompts you can use in the nomination section. The process should take between 5 and 15 minutes.

The form consists of three sections that you will need to complete.

In section one, you will provide the following information about our company.

E-Patches & Crests creates and supplies embroidered patches, patch & charm sets, charms, lapel pins, camp blankets, cross-stitch patches and patterns, and more! They have thousands of iron-on badges and patches in stock and ship across Canada, the United States and internationally.

Section Two

The reason you’re nominating E-Patches & Crests. This is your opportunity to share what you believe makes EPC a good candidate for winning the contest. We have provided a few prompts below to spark your memory or give you an idea of what you can write about! 

What relationships have contributed to the success of your nominated business? Please give examples and answer in 300 words or less.

• Supported the Guiding and Scouting Communities for over 18 years. Support community leaders and youth in building their skills and leadership ability. Help reward accomplishments, learn new skills, celebrate successes and spread joy.
• Sports and non-profit organizations like the Canadian Red Cross Swim Kids badge program,  coaches, community organizers, athletes and participants. Their products help award and recognize achievement.

Why should your nominated small business receive a grant? Please answer in 250 words or less.

• Services and products support non-profit community and national organizations like the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, Samaritan's Purse, the Canadian Red Cross, and humanitarian needs as they arise.
• Shipping costs make up a large cost of doing business.
• Woman-owned and managed business.
• Desire to expand our online presence and grow in other markets, leading to hiring more people in our community and nationwide. 
• Try using phrases such as making a difference, going over and above, or exceeds expectations.
